The FIRST GALACTIC EMPIRE holds an iron grip over the galaxy- fighting off the ever-present threat in the form of the REBEL ALLIANCE. Subjugation is everywhere, suffering exists in the cracks of an authoritarian, and fascist system that oppresses the weak, and culls the strong. The ever-tightening grip of Galactic Contention continues to squeeze people of their worth- some popping from its grasp entirely.
Spread thin, the Empire desperately searches for a way to even its military control over the millions of systems across the Galaxy. The construction of a new superweapon is rumored, along with the ever-growing Rebel Alliance, as several more planets end up in the Empire's grip each year. The Rebels are fighting a losing battle, small and scattered- they need more resources, and they need it fast.
