In the warring states period, the world was in chaos. The advancement of ninja warfare meant a massive power gap between areas was growing and war exploded. Clans of ninja warred for territory growing more powerful and starting to unify. The unification of various clans under the daimyo during the warring states lead to the beginnings of the formations of the great ninja villages known today.
